This infographic was produced in response to an identified learning need.
We ran an in-situ SIM in PED resus with the scenario being child with viral myocarditis. This was initially led by a GP trainee working in PED at the time. The trainee was confident in identifying normal values for most parameters, but not blood pressure. This appeared to be a fairly universal theme amongst trainees new to paediatrics. To rectify this we produced this infographic and put copies of it around the department so all staff can quickly identify a normal systolic blood pressure in a range of ages of children.
